The Passenger Carrier Tool:  FMCSA designed this online tool to help transportation businesses learn about the Federal passenger carrier regulations that apply to their type of services. Carriers are organizations that own fleets of vehicles that transport people, i.e. buses, shuttles, limos, etc.

 

Carriers are generally knowledgable about engaging with FMCSA online; however, determining the regulations that apply to a new avenue of business is confusing by default (and out of necessity for public safety and interstate law).

 

With that, we had to make the discovery process simple. What rules apply
to me and my business? The user answers three questions and they see the designated regulations that apply to their type of transportation services.

My role:  All UI design for the site, working with the design director and our development team. I stayed with the FMCSA brand color palette, but added a highlight color to add some individual flavor to this on-line tool.
