Logo Design
Creating Identities for Business
I have branding experience in a variety of roles: I've designed a number of logos while freelancing that turned into full branding campaigns. I've also worked branding from the inside, working for internal design departments. During my time in agency work as a senior designer, an art director asked me to police branding for Qwest, our major telecom client. From yet another angle, I have worked with external design firms that provided graphic standards guides and asked me to execute new designs within the branding framework.
With all of that said, each logo below is my own design.
DELANEY CONSULTING

E COMMONS WEB PORTAL
A logo for Harvard Medical School representing the eCommons web portal. This site was billed as a web common area with resources for the full span of the Harvard medical community, including doctors, students, lab technicians, and research scientists.

CONNECTED VEHICLES TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE
Presented through the Challenge.gov website, the US DOT was inviting tech problem-solvers and innovators to develop new applications, devices, products, services, and business solutions—any operational concept based on DSRC technology. The idea for me was that the graphic mark should reflect the vision behind innovative technologies in areas like autonomous vehicles, driver alert systems, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication.

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
Logo design for the Community of Practice microsite, falling under the Federal Highway Administration. It branded the site as a community space for transportation liaisons that interacted with certain government agencies. I designed the logo to transmit the ideas of resource, connection, and environment to the transportation community involved.
